ABOUT ME
I was born in 1974 in Serbia. I finished psychology and psychotherapy training (transactional analysis) in Belgrade. I did numerous trainings within the field of peace studies and non-violent communication in the home country and abroad (including USA and Canada). Since 2008 I live in Vienna, where I have earned a PhD in Psychotherapy Sciences (on the topic of international aspects of psychotherapy training) and finished another psychotherapy training (systemic family therapy). I work in a private practice and as a lecturer, research supervisor and researcher at the Private University Sigmund Freud, Vienna (SFU faculty). I am teaching Developmental Psychology, Differential Psychopathology and Qualitative Research Methods in Psychotherapy in English language at the SFU.
My professional experiences have included application of psychology/psychotherapy in various fields: in local community and regional and international projects (as a facilitator of non-violent communication), in school (as a school psychologist and counselor), in companies (as a Human Resources Expert), in clinical field (as a psychotherapist), and at the University (as a researcher and lecturer).
I have personal experience in growing up in a country devastated by wars and misuse of power(s), followed by migration and integration process to Austrian society, as well as experience of living in a bicultural marriage. I have a keen interest in geopolitical and socio-cultural issues in countries around the globe; profound understanding of the influence of cultural, political, social and economic factors on the life of an individual; and a strong commitment to give my contribution to the increase of social justice and promotion of multicultural tolerance and collaboration.
